In Pakistan, many students are there who do not get admission to BDS due to various reasons but are very interested to be a BDS doctor. The alternative way to become equivalent to a BDS, there is a solution which is the degree of BS in dental technology. It is a much better field after mbbs and bds.one can easily get a job after the BS Dental degree. The main difference between BDS and BS Dental technology is that an FCPS Dentist can perform surgery but a BS Dental Technologist can not.After BS they one can study further till specialization and PHD and can add Doctor with his/her name.

Eligibility Criteria and Merit for BS Dental technology

elgibility and merit depends on the university or the instution from where you are going to get admission.mostly ,One who has got 60%+ marks in Fsc Pre-Medical are eligible for BS Dental

As a dental technologist you can set up a clinic of your and and can work there as a dentist.
In dental hospitals ,you can work as an incharge
Except surgeries, you can do  all other work of a dentist such as root canal ,tooth extraction etc.
In dental hospitals you can do a job in management as a maneger.
You can do a job in the companies where tooth are manufactured.
